About Beloved Hollow
Beloved Hollow is a small, quiet place for people who miss a pet. It isn't a grave or a tribute wall. It's somewhere to go when you think of them, to say something, and to leave a little something at their door.
Why it exists
Most of us know, from the first day, that a pet will leave before we do. When it happens, the love doesn't stop — it just has nowhere to go. And unlike other losses, there are few rituals for it, and people sometimes say it was "just a pet."
The idea behind the Hollow comes from a thought that runs through the Mexican Day of the Dead, and that the film Coco carried to many of us: they are not gone while someone still remembers. Here, remembering is something you can do — cross a bridge, light their window, leave a treat on the step.
What we promise
- What you write is private unless you choose to share it.
- We will never pretend to be your pet or speak for them.
- We won't send you reminders to come back, unless you ask for one.
- 10% of what you leave goes to animal shelters and rescue groups in China, and we publish every donation.
Who runs it
Beloved Hollow is made and run by one person, Taomir. I built it because the love for a pet who has died doesn't stop, and there was nowhere quiet to put it: not a grave, not a feed, just a place to go when you think of them. I'm making it slowly and carefully, and I read every message.
How we write
Our articles on pet loss are written to be useful on their own, whether or not you ever cross the bridge. We don't give medical or mental-health advice; where that's what you need, we point to people who can help.
